RM> When you think about it, you could double fuel costs and RM> the cost increase on your can of beans would go up by half RM> a cent, if that. But the stores all take advantage of the RM> 'bad news' and use it to inflate prices to ridiculous RM> levels, often up by 50% or more, with less chance of RM> people complaining because they have heard the bad news RM> and blame it on someone else.. I am seeing ridiculous increases on books. Pocketbooks/mass-market are up from 11.99 to 14.99 Many hardcovers typically between 29.99 to 35.99 are now over 40$ But it's not necessarily "the stores" doing it. In my case it's the wholesaler raising *my* price based on their their MSRP. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.64 * Origin: My Westcoast Point (1:153/757.21) SEEN-BY: 1/120 18/0 105/81 106/201 116/116 123/0 25 126 180 525 755 SEEN-BY: 123/3001 3002 4040 128/187 129/14 305 134/100 135/115 153/0 SEEN-BY: 153/135 143 148 151 153 757 7715 154/110 218/700 221/6 222/2 SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 229/110 134 206 300 307 317 400 426 428 470 SEEN-BY: 229/664 700 705 250/1 266/512 275/1000 280/464 291/111 320/219 SEEN-BY: 322/757 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 1321 902/26 SEEN-BY: 2320/0 105 304 3634/0 12 24 27 56 57 58 60 5075/35 PATH: 153/757 3634/12 2320/105 229/426 |
