Why gas prices are really high
 08 Mar 11 21:21:00

 SD> Hello, All.

SD> A really interesting article (all links are at the bottom):

SD> Media Hides Real Reason for Rise in Gas Prices

Why did the media hid the real reason for rise in gas prices
 under GW Bush?

 ...

SD> real reasons for the jump. Unrest in the middle east has
SD> given the cabal of President Obama and the media, “cover”
SD> to blame others for the spike to the stratosphere.

SD> The real reasons are three-fold, with unrest in the middle
SD> east being the least of the three.

SD> 1) Devaluation of the dollar. The incessant printing of
SD> money by this administration began the rise of gas prices
SD> months long before the middle east blew up. I'm no Alan
SD> Greenspan, but I can figure out that if oil prices are tied
SD> to the dollar, and you print more dollars, the oil price
SD> will go up, up, up.

That's one of the dumbest claims. Oil prices are denominated in
dollars, but not tied to the dollar. That guy is no Alan
Greenspan, and I have no respect for Alan Greenspan either.

SD> 2) An energy policy that calls for less drilling for oil at
 SD> home, not more.

Drilling at home will not affect gas prices for years. Another
dumb claim. BTW, where was he when GWB with held 75% of the
 embargoed offshore oil?

SD> 3) Unrest in the middle east.

The amount of oil being produced has been affected very little.

The price of oil has been affected very little by any of those.
Notice that the rise in the price of oil began as soon as the
 republicans took the house.

 ...

SD> When Bush was in the White House the media had no problem
SD> reporting the fact that the rise in oil prices were due to
SD> the depreciation of the dollar, [3] but they seem to have
SD> forgotten that little fact today. Can't point the finger at
 SD> Dear Leader.

The media was in the republican's pocket for 8 years. Still are
 for that matter.

 ...

SD> Some of that is happening here but I've got
SD> some reality fer ya, drill here, drill now! How long have

Why didn't GW Bush allow that? Drill here or anywhere won't have
any effect for years. Oh, and the US has comparatively little
 oil.

SD> we been hearing that tune while the leftist politicians and
SD> their activist old media shout it down? Drill here, drill
 SD> now. [8]

Stupid answer to an immediate problem. Which oil company bought
 his soul?
