 For centuries any bad act by a Jew was slimed against all
 Jews. Any bad act by a black man became a smear against all
 blacks. Now Melanie Phillips sees nothing wrong with a crime by
 someone who might be an Arab as reason to accuse all Arabs of
 depravity. She refers to Arabs as being all savages.

 I have long held the law should be very restricted in regulating
 speech, and have criticised European laws that ban attacks
 against foreign heads of state.

 That does not change the fact that Melanie Philips has displayed
 exceptionally disgusting behavior.
