Well, it seems the IMF is giving the US a choice, to bring the
 debt crisis under control, or face downgrading of US debt, with
 attendant higher costs.

 And what has roused the IMF to this? They see the extension of
 tax cuts for the rich as unreasonable in the face of the
 explosion of debt.

 Hmmm... didn't we say something about this not too long ago?
