      Title: Dick van Dyke's Chewy Pecan Pie Bars

      Yield: 24 Servings
 
    1/4 c  Butter, melted
      2 c  Packed brown sugar
    2/3 c  A-P flour
      4 lg Eggs; room temp
      2 ts Vanilla extract
    1/4 ts Baking soda
    1/4 ts Salt
      2 c  Chopped pecans
           Confectioners' sugar; opt
 
  Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC.
  
  Pour butter into a 13x9-in. baking pan. In a large bowl,
  combine the next 6 ingredients; mix well. Stir in
  pecans. Spread over butter.
  
  Bake 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven. If desired,
  immediately dust with confectioners' sugar. Cool before
  cutting.
