      Title: Spicy Carrots
 Categories: Indian
      Yield: 2 Servings
 
      1 c  Carrots; cubed
    1/2 c  Peas; shelled
    1/2 ts Turmeric
    1/2 ts Black pepper powder
    1/2 ts Fresh ginger; grated
    1/4 c  Water
      1 tb Oil
      1    Onion; chopped
      1 ts Salt
 
  Heat oil and saute the onion. Add carrots and peas and saute for 2
  minutes. Lower heat; add ginger, turmeric, and salt, and stir for a
  few minutes. Add water and cover. Cook on low for 5 minutes until
  water is almost gone. Uncover and keep stirring until all liquid is
  absorbed. Sprinkle with black pepper.
