      Title: Chocolate Chip Cookies

    1/2 c  Shortening
    1/2 c  White sugar
    1/4 c  Brown sugar; lightly packed
      1    Egg; beaten
      1 ts Vanilla extract
      1 c  All-purpose flour; sifted
    1/2 ts Salt
      1 c  Wemisweet chocolate chips
    1/2 c  Walnuts; chopped
 
  Cream shortening, add all sugar and continue to cream until thoroughly
  blended. Add egg and vanilla, beat mixture. Sift, flour, salt, and
  baking soda together, and add to creamed mixture, combining well.
  Fold in colocate bits and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased
  baking sheets. Bake in 350?F oven 10 to 12 minutes.
