It's not an issue of "master race" (both James Holmes and myself are white,
and by most accounts we are of a similar socio-economic class), it's an
issue of punishment for crimes committed.

James Holmes was not a mental patient. Indeed, there is little to suggest
that he was a mental case before he undertook the crazy act of opening fire
in a movie theater. Jared Loughtner (the guy that took shots at the
congresswoman in Tucson) was a known mental case that his own parents could
not get committed. He is a guy that should have been in a rubber room with
sleeves that tied in the back, but James Holmes' imbalance was not such that
he should have been committed under the current guidelines under which
people can be committed. He had issues with instability, that is known. Most
of his claim to mental illness is, "look at what I did, it's crazy so I must
be mental." He is using his insane act as evidence of his insanity.
Laughtner, and Adam Lanza (the Sandy Hook shooter) had long histories of
instability that should have allowed the respective families to have them
committed. Laughtner's parents ignored the signs, Lanza's mother had come to
the realization that her son needed to be committed, but could not get it
done -- it has been reported that she finally had gotten him committed, and
   this set him off.

You are making a strange mix of fruit in your basket.
