XPost: alt.radio.talk, alt.gossip.celebrities, alt.lawyers       XPost: sac.politics       From: mikeh@abc.com              A Denver country music radio personality has filed a lawsuit       against music superstar Taylor Swift.              The lawsuit, filed Thursday in U.S. District court in Denver,       alleges that David Mueller, known on the radio as "Jackson," was       fired from his job and banned from Swift concerts for life based       on false allegations that he inappropriately touched Swift       during a photo session at the Pepsi Center.              The incident in question happened June 2, 2013, when Mueller was       invited, as part of his then-job at 98.5 KYGO on the "Ryno and       Jackson" morning show, to meet and greet Swift backstage.              According to the suit, Mueller posed with Swift and his       girlfriend, Shannon Melcher.              After some small talk, "Swift suddenly announced it was picture       time" and "quickly put her right arm" around Melcher. Mueller       jumped into the photo "at the last second."              Swift cordially thanked the couple and they left, the suit said.              After the photograph, Mueller, in the suit, said he met a co-       worker who "excitedly told him about his experience meeting Ms.       Swift earlier that night."              The co-worker "described and demonstrated how he had put his       arms around her, hands on her bottom," according to the filing.              Later, as Mueller and Melcher were inside the Pepsi Center, they       were approached by a Swift security team member named Craig.              The security member accused Mueller of grabbing Swift's bottom       earlier in the night. Security members surrounded the couple,       verbally abused them and escorted them to an exit door,       according to the suit.              Mueller, who denies the allegations, was fired on June 4, 2013.              "Mueller steadfastly maintains that no inappropriate contact of       any kind occurred between him and Ms. Swift," the filing said.              The suit claims Mueller lost his job and other prospective       business opportunities because of the allegations.              Mueller, who has worked in radio for more than 20 years, made a       base salary of $150,000 at the time he was fired. His position       also came with performance bonuses, product endorsement fees and       public appearance fees.              Over the course of Mueller's career he has met and been       photographed with "hundreds" of celebrities including Sheryl       Crow, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Heidi       Klum, Fergie, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Jessica Simpson and       Jennifer Lopez.              Kieran Nicholson: 303-954-1822, knicholson@denverpost.com or       twitter.com/kierannicholson              http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_28798154/former-denver-radio-       personality-suestaylor-swift-losing-job              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
