Golam Rabbi was having a gay affair with a Cisco advocate. His
   wife did not know.

A note found Sunday next to the bloody bodies of Golam and
Shamima Rabbi on the floor of their San Jose, Calif., home was
an ominous note: "Sorry, my first kill was clumsy."

Police are reportedly baffled at the frightening suggestion
there may be more, and the motive behind the shooting deaths of
   the 59-year-old Bangladesh-raised engineer and his 57-year-old
accountant wife, and mother of two. Both were beloved volunteers
in the city's Bangladeshi community and had no known enemies.

NBC, citing anonymous sources who were allegedly in the house,
reported that the note also stated: "I can't be like you,
telling a lie. I can't love someone without telling them."

Police said they don't think the killing was random nor that it
   was a hate crime.

They've spoken to the couple's 17-year-old son but are still
trying to locate the eldest, aged 21, for questioning, New York
Daily News reported. "At this time he is not considered a
suspect but may have information regarding this incident," said
San Jose Police spokesman Albert Morales.

"Our homicide investigators are working diligently to try and
conduct a thorough and complete investigation so that we may
bring closure to this horrible crime and provide answers," he
   added.

The brutal killings have shaken San Jose's Bangladeshi community.

"It's the most shocking news in my life," the couple's 37-year-
old nephew, Golam Mustakim, told the San Francisco Chronicle. "I
was very close to them with all my heart. I have no words to
explain how I am feeling. I want to believe they are still
   alive."
