Our niece lived with us while she went to college... I wouldn't exactly
call her a crybaby, and there wasn't all that much whining, but she'd go
into fits of sobbing with little or no provocation.  At first I'd go and
try to comfort her, then I realized that it was a way she lets off steam
after a heavy day...  Her mother (my sister) is also very emotional,
often irrationally.  In both cases, being way overtired only made it
more probable.  :)   One learns to listen for the variances, to know if
it's something to intervene or just let happen...  :)

ADHD does affect people differently... in some respects it can be a
catchall term, with various manifestations...
