NB@> And yes, that was the official name for it, "itchy scar"... there was
NB@> some greek name but that is the exact literal translation... :)

DS> You wonder why they spent all that money and time to go to medical
DS> school, for "such a diagnosis". Janice had a good idea of what the
DS> doctor was talking about, but a lot of people would prefer "it be in
DS> layman's terms"...basically, you have to cater to the "lowest common
 DS> denominator".

Usually, I have no trouble keeping up with the doctor... the greek just
didn't stick so well this time, since the literal translation was a very
good description of what the thing felt like... ;) I just should have
had her write the greek out for me so I could go back to it... :)

DS> The sad thing about that is a story I saw where these "athletes"
DS> basically "play like men" on the field, basketball court, etc. --
DS> but they can barely read or write. One student athlete at the
DS> University Of Arkansas at Fayetteville 20 years ago said "he was
DS> recruited to go play basketball, not go to class". And, at the
DS> time, the graduation percentage of student athletes was ZERO!!
DS> It seems that it doesn't matter what the coaches or athletes moral
DS> life, study habits, etc. are. As long as they can win games, sell
DS> tickets, and bring in money to the organization (collegiate or
DS> pro), that's all that matters.

That's less the case now than it was back then... at least at some
schools... Education has become much more stressed, even for the
athletes... probably because of all the scandals... :)

DS> Former University Of Miami quarterback Ken Dorsey graduated with a
DS> DOUBLE Business Major...in his words "in case football doesn't work
 DS> out".

Not a bad plan of action... and knowing how to deal with one's money as
a pro wouldn't hurt either... :)

DS> While I'm on the DayQuil and NyQuil, I'm holding off the rest of the
DS> regular prescriptions, until I see the doctor in a few days, to see
DS> what she says. I just don't want this to go into pneumonia.

I hope you are feeling better by now... Pneumonia's no fun either...
Keep hydrated...
