I've never seen them jumping but I know they are there since every now and
then one of the locals manages to hook a few and I hear and/or see the
results.  From what I've heard up near Campbell River, which is north of here,
is the place to be if salmon is what you want.  Way back when, John Wayne had
a 'boat' (more yacht-ish I thought) up there and was known to show up often to
salmon fish.
