Perhaps we have crossed the point of no return and there is little to nothing
of any real value left to economize. For example many of the fresh fish sold
in the marketplace isn't really what it is advertised as being, and costs more
than the real fish did before it was fished beyond sustainabllity (ie
economized). With each replacement species the cycle is repeated until there
are no substitutions.
Simple economics.
