NB> DS> Would it be for 2 wooden nickels??
NB>Probably... but I used pennies... ;)
Better save up on them...I keep hearing that they're going to quit
making pennies, and round up prices on everything to end in either "5"
or "0".
NB>BTW, I only got this one most places (including this bbs), only a few
NB>places recognized that the other message wasn't a dupe. And, somehow,
NB>you also managed to send out dupes, as I saw both messages twice at one
NB>bbs, the second time tucked into the dupes area... Anyway, just a FWIW
NB>for you. :) As to getting caught, that was the point of the tagline
NB>on the other message, after all.. ;)
I had to do a fresh install of Windows XP. I tried to fix a corrupted
device driver, and crashed the system. When I rebooted, XP would not let
me use it, because "it hadn't been activated", and I was never given the
chance to.
As for the dupes, the messages weren't tossing, so I ran the utilities
again...then discovered that with the reinstall of XP, it had REMOVED
all the path statements from the AUTOEXEC.NT file...including those of
the archivers needed for netmail and echomail packets.
The system is running faster now...and I might have picked up some
malware someplace, and didn't realize it. Most virus scanners will throw
a fit if they detect another anti-malware program on the system...and
I've seen where one program misses a virus detection, another one says
that such a virus detection exists. But, that could be a false positive.
