Damon,

DAG> Yeah I haven't gotten much time lately for my BBS, either, unfortunately.
DAG>I'm probably letting some new users slide off due to my lack of time throwi
DAG>up new content and the like. :P

I don't get that many callers, but this is one of the last hobbies I
can still do, because of declining health.

DAG> Virtual Advanced to GT Power? GPU issues?

Actually, some days, it's constant crashing of the VADV Telnet Server.
That's why I want to go back to GT Power...my BBS roots.

DAG> Yeah that's pretty much what I do when I'm on a windows box, too.

  I saw where one website wouldn't support Chrome...so I resolved I'd
never go to that site again.

DAG> Yep, I'm running 3.16b.

I didn't know you were a Sysop...at least you know what it's like on
this side of the connection.

DAG> Heh. Always good to have a little fame in your own circles of interest.

One of my fellow ham radio operators, who works with Skywarn at the
National Weather Service in Taunton (Boston), Massachusetts, noted that
"being called the Jim Cantore of D-Star is quite a compliment". :)

DAG> Yeah I was stuck out in the woods in Arkansas when I was cross-country
DAG>homeless at one point... With my 2.5 year old son... A cloudburst happene
DAG>right after I got the tent set up. Still don't have any idea what else
DAG>could've been out in those woods off of the highway; I'm glad I never had t
DAG>opportunity to find out. There was a _lot_ of lightning, though. We were
DAG>hilltop, too, due to lack of time to find out exactly what resources we had
DAG>workwith before the clouds opened up. It was kind of a terrifying night...
DAG>wish I remember how far through the state we were at that point. That was
DAG>awhile ago, now, though.

The deaths from lightning strikes this year are more than double what
it was last year. Yet, despite all the warnings, safety awareness, etc.,
many choose to ignore the warnings. You can't fix stupid. :P

DAG> Ugh work calls. :P

About as bad as when nature calls. :P

Daryl
