NB>> Quite so. :) Best we can do is try our best, and try to improve where
NB>> we find deficiencies, whether we find them ourselves or have them
NB>> pointed out to us.... :)
DAG> That is, actually, the basal requirement in my standards when I'm
DAG> considering anybody for a relationship more than just casual passing
DAG> friends. I really don't care where exactly a person is at as far as
DAG> they're trying to get to some place better, as a person. Well, there
DAG> are certainly some people trying to better themselves that are in
DAG> places where I wouldn't go with a ten foot pole, but I'm sure you catch
DAG> my gist. ;)
Well, yeah... and there are some "betterings" that I'd not want to be a
part of, too... ;)
NB>> As long as you get to it before she starts asking for feedback....
DAG> Oh that happened well over a year ago, when I was still back in
DAG> Minot, actually. I don't think she's going to ask for it again.
Ah, so when you get a chance to finally read it completely, and then a
chance to actually talk to her about it, she can be pleasantly surprised
that you actually followed through on it... ;)
DAG> I'm getting my feet wet in getting outside to take care of things
DAG> I can't do in the apartment now, at least, so I should be hitting
DAG> that very soon. Just as soon as I'm caught up with my paper
DAG> journaling, I suspect.
Progress, anyway... :)
NB>> Sigh... Probably no room to get a beanbag chair in there, for reading
NB>> and movie watching... ;)
DAG> Funny you should mention that... My son had a bright pink one that
DAG> he absolutely loved for the longest time.. We just had to get rid of
DAG> it because one of the cats decided that it was too valuable of property
DAG> to pass up. There actually is enough space for something like that,
DAG> though. It just requires cleaning the bedding off of the futon and
DAG> folding that up. I hadn't really thought about that, it's a good idea.
DAG> I'll see if I can't come up with something or maybe find out how much
DAG> a cheap beanbag may run. I'm thinking more for reading, but I do have
DAG> some movies that I need to catch up on along with my son, too.
DAG> Utilizing the space in that way brings a bunch of new potential to the
DAG> situation.
Should help break the deadlock of not being able to do stuff... ;)
NB>> Now that's an idea.... or maybe go to the library...??
DAG> Well I've got to go return some books from my son's account within 3
DAG> days here, so that will be happening soon.
After all, one doesn't want to have to pay fines... ;)
DAG> The coffee shop idea worked very nicely
DAG> for me today, though. There's a place that I can walk to
DAG> less than 4 blocks away and I really like the atmosphere there.
DAG> I suspect I'll be spending more time in that place soon.
Good... That's a good thing to have found... should help on more than
one level... :)
NB>> No offense taken... I don't expect everyone to have the same perspective
NB>> as mine, but I also don't mind sharing my perspective... :)
DAG> Ditto that. :)
NB>> As long as you don't take offense at my being open with my faith, we
NB>> should be fine... :)
DAG> I enjoy discussion on all kinds of topics, and some of the ones that
DAG> people consider taboo can be some of the most interesting, when it's
DAG> undertaken with understanding, curiosity, and consideration. Usually I
DAG> have spotted the ones that it's not safe to engage in discussion with
DAG> on such topics quite a ways away. You seem safe to me. :)
Then we should get along fine.. :) I may not be totally "safe", but I
do try to be gentle in disagreement... ;)
