One will hope.  When I was young my parents moved away from the rest of my
family and it was only in my later years that I moved back to this side of
the country where I'm closer to them.  Growing up without any family close by
diminishes ones, or my, attachment to them and as such I haven't really made
a big effort to maintain strong relationships.  We just kind of make our own
pod and focus on that. So accepting of the fact that at the end it'll
probably be a much smaller group helping me get on but this is the life we
lead

That is remarkable, especially in this day and age where that sense of
collectivism seems to have been replaced whole-heartedly with individualism. 
How's the ticker these days?

 RF> My brothers and my sister were also supporting them.  I have 7 broters
 RF> and 1 sister.

1 brother and a number of 1/2 and step sisters in the wings but they are all
5000KM away.  I'm hoping that relationship will strengthen over time but I'm
not one to force it.

Thanks for sharing though, makes me stop and appreciate the beautiful family
I have and cherish these moments.
