Definitely we leave messages all the time, I want to make sure my daughter
has a connection but neither side makes a huge effort at the end of the day. 
It's just not something either side feels overly compelled to do.

That's amazing news, happy to hear it!  Way to stick with it and hope you
have some beautiful places to walk to, or take a laptop with you and do some
BBS'ing while you rest.
