You can add areas automatically when they come in, assign them whatever group 
access you want via Config - Packet/Mail - Add Areas From.

If you need to globally update descriptions, you can use DBUTIL DESCFILE.

ie. DBUTIL DESCFILE FIDONET.NA will import FIDONET.NA descriptions to the 
matching areas.
