The same steps since I started using it in 1988. Nothing out of the ordinary.
 
Install works OK. Start-up works OK. ALT-E for the editor works OK. Then Esc-A
for "Area Information" gives the regulqr screen, I think, in rainbow colours
... foreground and background ... unworkable ...
