I love it when people feel the urge to explain what others were saying/writing.
 
BBS-es are stand-alone stuff, mailers are also stand-alone stuff. The fact
that mailers may be capable of shelling to a BBS does not make them part of
the BBS-scene.
 
BTW, the Cup is not coming home ... 8-)
