The problem was the HD capacity, and its speed.
 
The nodelist then was 7MB, when you apply the nodiff then the outcome is also
7MB. Meaning you already needed 14MB just for nodelist processing ... of a
20MB disc ... doesn't give you much leeway with othwer stuff you're doing.
