That sounds like a ton of work.

Somehow im picturing a menu option under utilites again "port D'B to Linux"
and when you hit it it asks you are you sure? you hit yes and it reboots your 
crappy windows box into linux and compiles DB in then after exporting all 
your windows settings and somehow implementing them back onto linux perfectly 
has a final note that then drops you to /home/usr/db4l and reports ok done hit
DB to run DB.
