I am new to using D'Bridge and I am attempting to setup an old school BBS like I ran in the '90s. I am running OS/2 Warp 4 and have Db setup and running with Binkd accdepting all the incoming echomail from my Mystic BBS hub. I have DB setup to toss mail into C:\Max\Msg\. I am subbed to the FSXNet network and the mail groups are setup in Maximus as C:\Max\Msg\FSX_* . I notice that DB will toss the mail correctly but will not scan and pack up outgoing mail. Is this a setting I am missing or is a 3rd party software required to gather outgoing mail? Currently I am using Fastecho to scan and pack mail wheneve a user exits the bbs. How do you guys handle that? Another question I have is do you guys use a batch file to load DB and in turn load your bbs? Currently I have DB loading from a command line as well as Maximus so both are running independant of the other. This setup kind of works but I keep thinking there must be a better way. In the old days I ran Frontdoor/RA BBS and everything ran smoothly with a single albeit large batch file but that was the days before telnet took over and modems faded away. Thanks for any suggestions and pointing me in the right direction. --- SBBSecho 3.14-Linux * Origin: Halls of Valhalla -:- hovalbbs.com:2333 (1:218/840) SEEN-BY: 1/123 14/0 90/1 105/81 114/709 120/340 123/131 129/305 153/757 SEEN-BY: 154/10 218/840 221/6 226/30 227/114 702 229/424 426 428 550 SEEN-BY: 229/664 700 1017 240/5832 249/1 206 317 400 282/1038 292/854 SEEN-BY: 301/1 317/3 322/757 342/200 633/280 770/1 PATH: 218/840 221/6 229/664 426 |
