XPost: alt.politics.radical-left, alt.journalism.newspapers, alt       politics.usa.republican       XPost: alt.culture.alaska       From: nigger-lovers@disney.com              “Drop the gun!” cops yelled over and over — but the suspect       didn’t, and ended up dead in a fusillade of 62 police bullets in       a shooting captured on cops’ body cameras.              Tyquarn Graves, 34, was hit by 12 of the 62 bullets fired from a       group of 10 officers in Brooklyn on the night of June 2, police       say.              Police encountered Graves moments after he had fired his 9mm       weapon at Terrance Colclough, 49, on Kingsborough 1st Walk,       outside the Kingsborough Houses in Crown Heights.              When officers from the 77th Precinct and a housing police unit       arrived, they found Graves lying on some grass.              Graves got up on his knees and eventually stood — all the while       holding on to his pistol, which was empty at that point because       he had fired all his bullets at Colclough, police said.              Over and over the cops warned Graves — they said “Drop the gun!”       “Put your hands in the air!” and “Stop moving!”              A number of bystanders are also heard on the video yelling for       Graves to surrender. “It’s not worth it, bro! Drop it!” someone       yelled.              The warnings went on for about 2 minutes and 23 seconds, police       said.              [More New York] ‘He was a good dude': Aspiring artist released       from prison in January gunned down at Bronx playground barbecue »       One officer, John Loreto, fired 11 shots, while three others —       Christian Feraca, Ernesto Defreitas and Daniel Staffa — fired 10       each, police said.              At least one officer on scene did not fire any shots.              After Graves was hit by 12 bullets, officers administered CPR.       He died at Interfaith Medical Center.              [More New York] Massachusetts man recovering from random       Prospect Park stabbing during late-night walk; suspect still at       large »       It wasn’t clear why Graves shot Colclough, but Graves’ family       said regardless of what happened that night the police did not       have to fire so many shots.              “It was overkill — too many bullets and too many cops,” said the       dead man’s mother, Motique Graves, 51.              Graves said the Brooklyn DA’s office showed her at least an hour       of video of the incident, more than what police released Friday.              “They didn’t give my son a chance,” Graves said. “He was no       threat to them. He didn’t point no gun at them.”              “My son was schizophrenic. How can you hide behind a tree from       ten cops? It was in his mind,” she said. “They could’ve Tased       him-shot him in the leg, but not killed him,” she said.              The pandemic has slowed the internal investigation, a police       source said, but police officials have privately said they       believe the officers did not violate department guidelines       governing the use of deadly physical force.              Graves, who worked in construction and as a bouncer, served six       years in state prison for robbery as a juvenile offender and had       other arrests for grand larceny, robbery and assault.              [More New York] Bronx father with newborn daughter fatally shot       outside deli, less than a week after 21st birthday »       “We are hurting.” said the grieving mother. “I was saving to       move, but I had to use the money to bury my son.              “They destroyed my family. I want justice.”              You want justice? Sterilize yourself. Don't breed.              https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/ny-bwc-footage-       brooklyn-shooting-nypd-suspect-62-shots-20200731-       zvkxiirprbhprdtsdlpyw2bmdq-story.html                      --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
