   Amber Finney of Warren, Ohio became the first person charged   
   under a law in Warren banning bestiality in Trumbull County.  33-   
   year-old Finney pled not guilty Monday in Warren Municipal Court   
   to charges accusing her of engaging in sexual conduct with   
   animals.   
      
   Finney was in court for a misdemeanor charge of having sex with   
   a dog that police say was recorded on video and then shared on   
   social media.   
      
   A warrant for Finney’s arrest had been issued in January, after   
   police learned about the bestiality video featuring the Warren   
   resident.   
      
   Eventually, the defendant was arrested Sunday, when workers at a   
   Walgreen’s pharmacy recognized her as the woman from a news   
   report wanted for ‘getting into trouble with animals’ and called   
   cops.   
      
   Finney, a documented animal lover who owns several pets  is   
   suspected of performing sexual acts on a dog on New Year’s Day.

   At around 9pm on Sunday, officers went to Finney’s home at 1125   
   Ward Street Northwest and found her hiding in the basement and   
   crying.   
      
   According to a report by WKBN-TV, Finney told police the   
   recording was a fake and that she had been drugged with   
   something slipped into her drink.   
      
   Investigators believe the video was genuine and that Finney’s   
   sexual encounter with the dog took place on New Year’s Day,   
   reported WFMJ.

   Police first learned about the incident on January 24 when they   
   began receiving complaints from Internet users claiming to have   
   seen the video that featured Finney allegedly performing sex   
   acts on a dog.   
      
   According to a criminal complaint, Finney ‘did knowingly engage   
   in sexual conduct with an animal, or knowingly possess, sell or   
   purchase and animal with the intent that it be subjected to   
   sexual conduct.’   
      
   Finney, who goes by the moniker ‘HoodPrincess’ on Facebook, has   
   owned multiple pets over the years, including a pit bull mix   
   named ‘Biggie’ and a black-and-white cat.   
      
   Police have not said whether the dog seen in the sex video was   
   one of Finney’s animals.   
      
   Amber Finney is being held without bond in the Trumbull County   
   Jail, is due back in court April 20.   
      
   Tribune Chronicle reports that Warren which is located 55 miles   
   east of Cleveland, last year became the first Ohio city enact a   
   bestiality law that classified sex with animals as a first-   
   degree misdemeanor punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a   
   $1,000 fine.   
      
   The law was passed in the wake of widely publicized case in   
   which a 61-year-old Salvador Rendon was caught repeatedly having   
   sex with his daughter’s two boxers.   
      
      
      
   Salvador Rendon was charged with animal cruelty during his   
   arraignment in municipal court in April of 2016. The 61-year-old   
   Warren man had sex with a male boxer and a female boxer at least   
   10 times over a period of past six years.   
      
   The tip off to the acts came from Rendon’s wife, who reported   
   him after allegedly catching him in the act several times.
