   Vice President Kamala Harris was in close contact “throughout”   
   Tuesday with a staff member who tested positive for COVID-19.   
      
   Harris and the aide were in “close contact” under CDC   
   guidelines, enhancing the likelihood of transmission, the veep’s   
   spokeswoman Symone Sanders said in a statement Wednesday.   
      
   Harris was scheduled to receive the classified President’s Daily   
   Brief with Biden around 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Oval Office, but   
   it’s unclear if the aide was near the president at any point.   
      
   Sabrina Singh, another spokeswoman for Harris, told the Post   
   that “the aide was not in close contact with the president.”   
      
   Sanders said in the statement disclosing the infection that   
   “[o]n Wednesday morning, a staff member who has staffed the Vice   
   President throughout the day Tuesday received a positive test   
   result for COVID-19.”
