   WASHINGTON — A short runway and intersecting flight paths with   
   precariously close altitude requirements may have played a role in   
   Wednesday night’s deadly collision of an American Airlines plane and a US   
   Army Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport, experts   
   told The Post.

   The helicopter flight path reconstruction shows it closer to the runway than   
   the Route 4 track along the Potomac's east bank. That reconstruction may be   
   uncertain as the helo reportedly didn't have ADS-B accurately reporting its   
   position and the path was determined from less accurate older methods   
   similar to those for the lost Malaysian flight.
