I like Governor Perry.  He is a real barrel of laughs.
While he is nowhere near as smart as former Governor Edwin
Edwards of Louisiana, he does have his moments.

For Edwin Edwards, a convicted felon who served 10 years in the pen,
the party is just beginning.  At age 87, he is running for Congress.
As a Democrat in a blood red district.  And it looks like he just
might win.  Here is an excerpt from a recent televised debate -

Moderator Lee Zurik:
"Can a Democrat win a state office, including governor, again?"

Edwin Edwards:
"Get me a pardon and I will show you."

And you thought I was joking when I said Louisiana has the best
politicians that money can buy.  :)
