      Title: Fresh Mushroom Soup For Diabetics

      Yield: 5 servings
 
      2 tb Butter
      8 oz Pkg crimini mushrooms;
           - sliced
    1/2 md Onion; thin sliced, in
           - rings
    1/4 ts Dried basil
    1/4 ts Coarse ground black pepper
    1/4 ts Garlic salt
     28 oz (2 cans) beef broth
      6 oz Tomato paste
      1 tb Worcestershire sauce
      2 tb Burgundy wine
 
  Melt butter in a large pan. Add mushrooms and onions and
  cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until onions
  are translucent (about 5 minutes). Stir in basil,
  pepper, garlic salt, and beef broth. Bring to a boil,
  lower heat to medium, and whisk in tomato paste,
  Worcestershire sauce, and wine. Heat through.
  
  Yield: 5 1/4 cups
  
  Serving size: 1 cup
