The carcinogens in second-hand smoke is just as real for any living animal. 
Some may be affected, some not.  Just like humans.  I've known people who go to
sleep with a cigarette still lit and puffin away... they have no signs of it. 
We all have cancer cells, it's what triggers them.  Crap shoot.. :)
