When I was a kid growing up, the lady across the street was a Dachshund
breeder.  She would keep the best of them to Show, and then sell the others. 
Anyways, that meant there were always a pile of Daschund puppies to play with,
so it was a blast to go to her place.  When I got a little older she would pay
me to walk her dogs to give them exercise.  That was fun too, those long-dogs
like to go off on their own.
