it's probably windows updates.  i've had that happen with other things in the
past.  i just did an update yesterday and it cleared my mirc settings in the
registry even though the .ini was fine. i'm running an old copy of mirc for my
shoutcast bot.

i also have custom commands for files i made an imported into the registry.
those are gone. happened in the past with some big updates, too.
