Because it's a stupid way to do it.

put out a copy that says
registered to:Sysop

or registered to:Dedicated to the Memory of 
BBS Name: BBS

Then put a textfile in there and say donate to the aspca in his name.

It just seems like you're trying to use this to promote what you do or
create some recognition about some guy we don't know.

Just put it out or don't put it out.

Whats with "the mother may I" stuff? I hate it when people do that. Life is
too short and the bbs community is too small.
