CR or LF or whatever. It seems more like a case of syncterm, etc., sending an extra character when in telnet mode that older software -- i.e. most BBS software that isn't Synchronet or Mystic -- doesn't know what to do with. That might be semantics but I it is odd that using an older terminal program over a telnet connection (with something like VMODEM) doesn't cause this, which makes me suspect it is the modern BBS terminal programs that have changed something. I am sure the answer is "cause telnet protocol" but since we are using these terminal programs to telnet into BBSes and not old VAX or mainframe machines, I have to wonder who thought that was necessary. --- SBBSecho 3.28-Linux * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105) SEEN-BY: 1/19 100 16/0 19/10 37 104/119 105/81 106/201 114/10 120/302 SEEN-BY: 120/616 123/130 128/187 129/14 215 305 142/104 799 153/757 SEEN-BY: 153/7715 154/10 30 50 110 700 203/0 218/700 840 220/20 30 SEEN-BY: 220/90 221/1 6 360 226/18 30 44 50 227/114 229/110 112 134 SEEN-BY: 229/200 206 307 310 317 400 426 428 470 664 700 705 240/5832 SEEN-BY: 266/512 280/5003 291/111 301/1 320/119 219 319 2119 322/757 SEEN-BY: 322/762 325/304 326/101 335/364 341/66 342/19 200 396/45 SEEN-BY: 423/81 633/280 712/848 902/26 2320/0 105 304 3634/12 5020/400 SEEN-BY: 5075/35 PATH: 2320/105 154/10 221/6 1 320/219 229/426 |
