I think you have to set your computer's date back prior to 2000 (yeah! Back to
the 90s!), then run SRE RESET. This is a Y2K bug. After you reset the game,
you can set your date as normal and you should be able to run the game.

I just tried it in Dosbox and it seemed to work. I've been meaning to add this
game to my board, so your post was timely.
