MSGID: 2:250/1@fidonet 624a1896 CHRS: UTF-8 2 TZUTC: 0100 TID: MBSE-FIDO 1.0.8 (Linux-x86_64) cp: ELIST Hello All! Well I have completed testing and all seems to be well - at least until some one reports any issues. So changes: The content of 2 versions of the backbone.na have been added in (under the new backbone area that is loaded as FIDO) but only if a echo of the same name does not currently exist. Two new reports now exist BACKBONE.NA and BACKBONE.RPT and this will consist of content from the ELIST.RPT/.NA reports as well as from the import of the above process. The BACKBONE.NA file will be useable as a master list of FIDO echo's after a few days/week to weed out the really dead ones. Requests to remove should be made in ELIST so that every can verify they have had no useful content for the last 12 months but if you have shout out. The ELIST.NA/RPT and may be .NO are not effected but it is unlikely there will be content for ELIST.NO as any expired or deleted by moderator echo's will be converted to the backbone group from FIDO. Now the only way to remove content from the BACKBONE lists is for a MOD-DEL run which if I am advised that they are dead of traffic (excludes posting of rules, 'Is this area alive" etc as that is considered dead! ) and I will run the appropriate process. New reports will now be issued (as soon as I update the scripts) into the ELISTyymm.ZIP archive which will be re-issued. In addition every January and July a full list for each group will be issued to include the full content of any rules present and I seriously recommend that all Moderators look very closely at the descriptions and rules to check that there are not problems with them like missing text at the end of lines and like wise the rules file for missing text or very much more likely far too much. If this is the case, please send in a update for any effected echo's having changed the text within. Now I have to re-run some ECho updates that have occurred from the last 3 days of March as a safeguard, so you will see duplicate posting in ELIST echo. There after it should settle back down with an improved service. I will give it until start of May to confirm all is well and move on to the next stage. Yes, OK, famous last words ...
