Hello All!

As you will have read, my first attempt at providing up to date a archive of
the Elist system failed badly because the file names used was larger than 8.3.

I then considered doing it weekly but that is still too long, if sysops want
to
keep the content of the archives containing rules, descriptions (as separate
archives within the primary archive) as up to date as possible.

So the solution :

The file names for each archive and the main will now have just a day number
from 01 to 31 on the form of
Main elist archive ELyymmdd.ZIP containing archives :
ERyymmdd.ZIP - Contents of the rules files
EDyymmd.ZIP - Contents of the descriptions files within the group i.e., FIDO,
FSXNET and any othernets,

This will be issued by 2:25/21 after 23:30 each night that there has been any
NEW echos added or a change of an existing echo with a change of Title name.

This will mean some coding changes to the program which I will do over the
next
few hours (including some testing).

Please change your system setting to allow for this as well as any scripts or
batch commands etc that support this.

This will also remove the requirement of turning OFF Dup Checking.

To get this off and running I will do a manual daily run hopefully today to
verify the scripts and set up works for 2:25/21 and my system at 2:250/1 so
should be operational before midnight today, 19th September.

I say again, the file name of the archive for the DAILIES will be ELyymmdd.ZIP
The MONTHLY issue will stay as ELSTyymm.ZIP
