Hi Folks,
I know except for an echo info posting regularly this has
been rather quiet. But, here's one for us to chew on.
Lately we've seen discussion elsewhere about folks having
access to an echo who are restricted from access by the
moderator. YEs we know, echomail is by and large a public
thing.
I find it almost difficult at times to promulgate reasonable rules for an echo
without being too verbose, or leaving
important items out. Such as the usual restrictions on
gating, etc.
As I read the rules of the echo under discussion, I note
that it's implied that access is restricted to certain
individuals but nowhere is it stated explicitly that the
echo may not be made publicly available on a read-only
basis.
Thoughts anyone?
Regards,
Richard
