you've looked at the raw PKTs coming from your uplink?

not really confusing but since he is away for a few weeks, he cannot be asked
to look at the raw PKTs he receives and the ones he creates before they are
transmitted... since the messages appear fine on his board he must have gotten
a good PKT with the message in it... it is highly unlikely the PKTs can/will
be modified in transit, so what you receive should be what his system
created... if the raw PKT has a blank message in it, then the system that
created that PKT is where the problem resides... pretty simple unfortunately...

is anyone not connected to or downstream from 229/426 seeing blank messages
also?

are those seeing the blank messages seeing the same ones as blank or are they
different ones that are blank?
