Yesterday evening I read an interesting commentary in the New York Times
entitled "Darkness on the Edge of the Universe". Written by Brian Greene,
the opinion piece centers around the fact that over the past decade or so,
through precise observations of distant supernovae, astronomers have arrived
at the conclusion that not only is our Universe expanding, as has been
supposed for almost a century now, but it appears that distant galaxies are
also moving away from each other, and away from our region of space, at an
increasingly accelerated rate of speed.

After considering what Greene had to say, I conducted some scientific and
Biblical research of my own, and the result is a new, five-page article
entitled "Our Expanding Universe - Einstein, Hubble, Dark Energy and God".
The article delves into how even Albert Einstein was forced to change his
mind, and withdraw one of his theories concerning a so-called "cosmological
constant", after noted American astronomer Edwin Hubble revealed his
observations and conclusions to the scientific community during the 1920's.
The article is not heavy reading, and only touches very lightly on the
concepts of gravity, antigravity and dark energy.

Of course, being as I am a Christian writer, the article is written from a
Christian perspective, and includes a number of Scriptures concerning the
creation of the Universe, the expansion of the Universe, and how the latter
event may possibly be related to events that are prophesied in the Bible. If
the Universe truly is expanding at an accelerated rate, what are God's
intentions, and why is He allowing it? The article offers a possible
Scriptural answer which may surprise you.
