 Jeff Snyder to All
 Keep the Heavenly Vision

I realized many years ago that this world is simply not where it's at.
Everything that this world has to offer pales when compared to what God
offers us through the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. You may recall that in
writing about his New Life in Christ, the Apostle Paul wrote that he viewed
everything in his life prior to coming to Christ as dung, as we see here:

"Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all
things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,"
Philippians 3:8, KJV

Once he came to Christ, Paul had a new vision, and a new goal, and he looked
towards the unseen, by faith, as we see here:

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them
that love him."
1 Corinthians 2:9, KJV

But concerning the temporal, materialistic enticements of this current world,
let me again remind you of what the Apostle John had to say:

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man
love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the
world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of
life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away,
and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
1 John 2:15-17, KJV
