Well, it is now done. After a few days of challenges and moments of
frustration -- and trying to install and configure a number of different
server packages -- I'm pleased to announce that I have finally succeeded in
migrating our domains and web services over to Apache, PHP and mySQL. This
exercise proved to be quite a task for me, being as I have minimal
experience with Apache, and I'm not very fond of using Mac OS X's Terminal
and the command line interface, although I will use them when I have to.
Prior to now, I was using the Macintosh-based WebSTAR server suite -- which
consists of an all-in-one web, mail and FTP server package which boasts of
an easy-to-use GUI environment. However, WebSTAR was beginning to show its
age, and certain features of some of our services were not working properly,
or fully.

From what I can tell, all of our websites appear to be functioning properly
for the most part. However, if you do happen to encounter any problems or
peculiarities, please don't hesitate to email me at my public gmail email
address. There are still a number of small kinks that I am already aware of,
and I am already working on them, even as I post this entry. But, I won't
know that a problem exists, unless you write to me and inform me about it.
