As many of you will have already heard by now, on Tuesday, February 7, 2012,
a three-judge panel in California representing the United States Court of
Appeals for the Ninth Circuit -- which undoubtedly is the most liberal
appeals court in the USA, I might add -- struck down the Proposition 8 voter
initiative which was approved by 52% of California voters in 2008. As you
will recall, Proposition 8 added a prohibition against same-sex "marriage"
in California's State Constitution, and specifically defined marriage as a
union only between a man and a woman.

As my regular readers will already know, for many years now, I have been
strongly opposed to so-called same-sex "marriage", and the gay and lesbian
agenda. I view same-sex "marriage" as ungodly, unnatural and an abomination
to God. It is not what God indicated in the Book of Genesis, and it is not
what Jesus also clearly confirmed in the Gospels, as did His Apostles
afterwards.

For those of you who may not be familiar with my views and why I have
adopted this firm position, please consider reading such series as the
following. While these two series are a bit outdated insofar as current
legal developments in the various US states are concerned, nevertheless,
they still reflect my current views, and contain a lot of Scriptural truth
which has not changed:

Aside from the fact that I am strongly opposed to same-sex "marriage"
because it is in direct contradiction to God's Laws, what also alarms me
about this latest legal development is the fact that only two men -- two
liberal court of appeals judges -- have the power to overturn and overrule
the will of over seven million California voters -- the 52% -- who clearly
stated that they did not want same-sex "marriage" legalized in their state.

What happened to the will of the people? What happened to "government of the
people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."?

I'll say it again: These liberal court of appeals judges -- who are not even
elected by the people -- have way too much power in their hands.

The general consensus is that the same-sex "marriage" issue will ultimately
be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. I pray that when that day finally
arrives, they will not waffle or fail to act in a responsible manner,
according to God's Laws, and not according to man's laws. The bottom line is
that homosexuals need to repent of their sins, and embrace the truth of the
Scriptures.
