 Emergency communicators and others may find the following information of use. FOllow the provided instructions to obtain further information, or contact the listed sources. ------------------------------------------------------------ The National Hurricane Center in Miami FLorida is currently tracking the following systems: Hurricane EARL Island and coastal residents should be aware of these storms, their direction of movement and intensity. Hurricane warnings have been issued for the NEw England coast ... monitor products issued by local weather offices. IF any of these systems are projected to make landfall within the next 24 to 48 hours additional information will be provided below. IF you live in or near the projected locations carefully monitor local sources of weather information and begin taking steps to protect lives and property now. THe hurricane watch net will surely be active on 14.325 mhz so monitor that frequency if you are near the projected path of EArl. IF you are, they would appreciate weather data you collect. IF you are *not* in the affected area, and are not one of their recognized relay stations please remain silent, do not transmit! THanks for participating in the emergcom echo. Sources of the above information include, but are not limited to the following: U.S. National WEather Service; Marine shore station wLO for missing/overdue/attempt to locate vessel alerts.
