RW>Hello all! Hi, Richard... RW>A few matters may interest folks away from the gulf coast >fyi ... RW>The ARRL Delta Division net will activate Tuesday, 2300 UTC. >or 1800 CDT in preparation for the landfall of Isaac, >forecast to be a hurricane. The models have had such a problem with where he'll end up. Last week, they said he'd make landfall in the Florida panhandle. Now, it looks like New Orleans will take a direct hit. It appeared an eye was forming this morning on satellite pictures. BTW, I like the "alert level" that The Hurricane Watch Net has. The official forecast has the remnants coming right over Little Rock, so it looks like from Little Rock east (including your area) will get some bumpy weather. Unfortunately, due to health concerns, antenna restrictions/liability issues at the apartment complex where I live, and constant interference when I was on certain repeaters, I donated my gear to individuals or clubs in the central Arkansas area. Except for the Arkansas Skywarn page on Facebook, I no longer do The Weather Watch Net. I'm supposed to go in to have a procedure done in late September to find out why I'm producing so many kidney stones...yet, I'm drinking 3 liters of Gatorade a day (100 fluid ounces). So, I'm doing a bit of "intense rainfall" myself. |
