Hello Alexander,

AK> What is a root cellar?

A root cellar is a place to "keep" food stuffs.

When I was young our family had a property out in the boonies. It was old then
and I doubt it exists anymore. There was no power lines going there then.

It had a root cellar that wasn't much more than a hole in the side of a small
hill with a door on it. It had a few shelves that we kept our canned goods and
a few things like potatoes and dried meat and fish.

It was dark and it wouldn't get to cold in cold weather or too hot in warm
weather.

 Ttyl :-),
         Al
