I think I've got it figured out. At least what I type below here, works for
me. There are fancier options that we might learn later,
The first vital step for any of us, is write to Janis Kracht (the Sysop), and
ask her to put your name on the #espomen_chat list. David, you're already
good there, we're both on the list of people she's put on that list already.
Then the commands that you use every time: I'll say it in talky format first,
then make a terse summary showing exactly what you type, one line at a time:
When you're done reading and replying to messages, you shouuld be back a a
normal system prompt.
Tell the system here which chat area you'd like to join next time you go the
Chat. Then enter th CHAT command itself: it'll give you a short menu,
including G for join Group chat.
That should do it! /? for a command list, and /q to quit (leave chat) when
we're all done.
So, type exactly this (notice spacing and punctuation): type [Enter] at the
end of each line. (I don't think capitals matter, I use all lowercase).
join #espomen_chat
chat
g
(our entire chat session goes here)
/q
Of course outside chat, no / mark needed. Inside chat, anything you type will
be ignored by the system as normal chat, unless you start the line with a /
mark.
See you in Chat!
I'm thinking switch the Omega chat here next wednesday and from now on until
further notice.
