(Uncle) Martin said the water bill was highest ever.

 

Both he & Betsy stated that the washer spin is not working & so the clothes
are

more wet when being put into the dryer.

 

The dryer in turn is taking multiple starts to dry the same laundry & they
believe that 

it (also) needs to be upgraded.

 

Best bet may be to just get them new/used pair of washer/dryer as Martin
said those

have been in the house for several years. It could just be the belt has
slipped off or 

is worn & just in need of replacement on the washer.

 

In summary, anyone know of someone trying to get rid of a good working
washer/dryer 

then please take it for them
